My Journey to Healing and Self-Discovery through art

Art has been a part of my life since childhood. I've always had this natural desire to create, to bring to life what I see and feel. As I got older, I decided to take my passion more seriously and enrolled in some art classes during high school and college. At that time, I was all about realism, trying to make my artwork mirror the world around me.

Yet, as the years passed, I began to feel like something was missing in my artistic journey. The pursuit of perfection in reproducing reality left me unfulfilled, and the joy I once found in creating started to fade. It was during this period of questioning that I stumbled upon a book that would change the course of my artistry – "Brave Intuitive Painting" by Flora Bowley.

This book introduced me to a completely different approach to art, one that focused on intuitive painting. Instead of carefully replicating what I saw, it encouraged me to let my emotions and thoughts flow freely onto the canvas. It was like a breath of fresh air, a connection with my inner self that I had unknowingly longed for.

Intuitive painting soon became more than just a creative outlet; it became a sanctuary during life's challenges. It provided a space where I could process my experiences and release emotions and self-criticism that had held me back for so long.

In the past, I used to be incredibly hard on myself when I made a mistake or when I couldn't grasp something that seemed easy for others. But intuitive painting taught me an important lesson – that imperfections are what make art and life beautiful, and vulnerability is a source of strength. It taught me to embrace my flaws as an integral part of my unique journey and to cherish the unpredictability of the creative process.

Over time, my intuitive painting style naturally evolved, blending my life experiences and the knowledge I had previously gained about perspective, composition and color theory. It's not something I consciously choose; rather, it's a free-flowing expression that taps into the depths of my subconscious.

Intuitive art isn't solely about creating visually appealing masterpieces; it's about immersing oneself in the journey itself. It's about surrendering to the process and reducing judgment and fear about the final outcome. It’s also about trusting one's instincts and allowing authentic emotions to paint the path forward.

My goal with this form of art is simple yet profound – I want it to serve as a beacon of solace and empowerment, not only for myself but for others who resonate with my artwork and style. It's my way of sharing a therapeutic experience that has brought me great peace. I hope to also inspire individuals to explore their true potential, unshackled by the constraints of rules and expectations.

My artistic journey is an example to the power of self-expression, healing, and personal growth. Through intuitive painting, I've uncovered a profound sense of freedom, healing, and empowerment, and my deepest wish is to extend this transformative experience to others.

Soon, you'll be able to find originals and prints of my work on my website, where my art serves as a reminder to trust your inner self and find healing through creativity. Please stay tuned for more updates and inspirations. Thank you for joining me on this journey, and I look forward to sharing more with you in the future.
